March in Whistler is Awesome!

For some, March is an indication of the end of winter. Thoughts of playing in the snow are pushed aside as the preparations for spring begin — spring cleaning, yard work, etc. Blossoms begin to bloom and the buds on trees begin to appear. 

But here in Whistler, we’re still celebrating the joys of winter well into March! 

Weather

Historically, March is one of the snowiest months in Whistler. With an already established snowpack and the chance of some powder days, skiing in March in Whistler is amazing. If you’re lucky, you may even experience an epic bluebird day — a beautiful sunny day after a night of endless snow. These are the days that dreams are made of!

The weather is also starting to warm up and as the days grow longer, it means more time to play outside.

Activities 

Winter activities are still in full swing! Skiing is still all-time with conditions at their prime. Off the slopes, there are so many activities to do in March in Whistler. Some of our favourites include ziplining with Ziptrek, snowshoeing at Whistler Olympic Park and relaxing at the Scandinave Spa. Check out more winter activities for families here.

And with the warmer weather, après becomes even more exciting because patio season has begun! There are many restaurants throughout the Village with great patios, with most being kid-friendly during the day.
