The Deep Summer Photo Challenge is a local favourite every year, showcasing the vibrant mountain bike culture in the Sea to Sky Corridor, spanning from Squamish to Pemberton.
During the challenge, five photographers, and one wildcard, will set out to capture breathtaking images during the first Crankworx weekend. They will then put together a slideshow, accompanied by music, and will be presented to spectators under the stars at Whistler Olympic Plaza. You’ll also experience it for free amidst local fans who gather to share the event with their community. Come out and immerse yourself in this exciting local vibe.
In the Ultimate Pump Track Challenge, two riders face off, diving into a thrilling course filled with berms and rollers, aiming to be the first to reach the finish line. The twist? No peddling allowed! Watch as riders test their strength, momentum, and skill, where victory hangs on harnessing the power of momentum alone, and the slightest misstep can spell defeat.
The Dirt Diaries is another creative event of the Crankworx World Series. In this challenge, riders will unite with a team of up to six individuals, comprised of filmmakers, editors, and fellow athletes, to embark on a two-month journey crafting captivating 4-6-minute videos that tell their distinctive narratives. These submissions will then undergo evaluation by a group of judges, assessing their storylines, videography, riding skills, and editing, culminating in a grand screening beneath the open night skies of Whistler Olympic Plaza.
