Spring In Whistler

Peak 2 Peak Spring

Spring in Whistler delivers the wonders of winter mixed with the promise of summer. Snow on the mountains (and lots of it) creates some of the best skiing of the year. March has historically had more snowfall than both January and February. But warmer temperatures mean plenty of fun activities to do all over Whistler. Here is our guide to spring in Whistler and the best activities for you to enjoy.

Sight-Seeing

You can definitely see more on a sunny day and with there being an increased number of these, you’ll be spoilt for views. Get the Peak 2 Peak gondola and watch the coast mountains stretching into the distance on one side of you and let the beauty of Whistler valley take your breath away on the other.

If you’ve got your skis on, don’t miss the opportunity to see the mountains from a new height. Ride the Peak Express chair lift, and feel the magic of Whistler from above.

Scavenger Hunt

Can you find a more fun way of spending a day with your family than a scavenger hunt? Perfect for the milder temperatures that March brings with it, pick up a sheet from the Whistler Visitor Centre or print one here! Take the opportunity to get to know the village, discover hidden gems, see the sights and learn about Whistler. Fun for all ages – don’t forget to bring your camera.

Ziplining

If you want to soar above the trees, this adrenaline-filled activity is the one for you. Take your whole family and create moments you won’t forget. Ziptrek Ecotours will take you on an adventure in the forests of Whistler Mountain. If you want a full mountain experience, combine your tour with the Peak 2 Peak sightseeing combo.

Whistler Olympic Park

There are lots of fun outdoor things to do to enjoy with your family at Whistler Olympic Park. Located in the beautiful Callaghan Valley, you can cross country ski, go on a snowshoe adventure or even try ski jumping. Entertain your kids with fun toboggan rides and from March 18- March 29, kids under 12 can access all snowshoe trails for free.

Don’t want to take part in any sports? Watch the continent’s best athletes compete in the North American Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined Championships 2019 on March 15 -17. You can also catch the North American and Canadian Biathlon Championships 2019 on March 26-31.
