Here at Whiski Jack we are very proud of our exceptional team. Retaining staff with Whistler’s competitive job market isn’t always easy but we’ve worked hard to build and keep our amazing staff! We are lucky enough to be able to offer staff housing and a fun work environment to ensure our staff can focus more on why they’re here. Here are a few members of our amazing team so our guests and owners can put a face to the name.
Emma has made Whistler the latest stop on her world tour (she actually can’t remember how many countries she’s visited, so we’re thinking it’s a lot). She’s been travelling for many years now but is originally from Sweden (you can’t tell by her accent!). She’s loving Whistler and is one of the Supervisors on the front desk at our Creekside office.
HIDDEN GEM: Emma goes snowboarding every day she’s not working.
Filip is one of our longer term staff who came to us as a Houseman and was recently promoted to Room Inspector. His energy is really infectious – he takes a lot of pride in his work and has a great passion for the outdoors, often hiking in the backcountry or enjoying the Whistler’s tremendous amount of snow. He’s looking to improve his education as well as earning his residency to Canada.
HIDDEN GEM: Filip is a very talented photographer who has some of his work displayed in our Welcome Centre.
Pedro signed on as our Maintenance Supervisor last year, looking for a stable job with a great team in Whistler. Originally from Mexico, he and his family are very happy to call our wintry wonderland home.
HIDDEN GEM: Pedro loves to ride his motorcycle on the beautiful Sea to Sky Highway.
Nicole accepted the big role of Reservations Coordinator in August after having just been in Whistler for a few weeks. Not unlike many in the resort, she’s working two jobs while trying to get as much snowboarding and yoga in as possible. At work, she applies her passion and experience in hospitality to ensure our owners and guests are heard and taken care of.
HIDDEN GEM: Meet Nicole on the mat as she guides you through her yoga practice. This is her calling and her bliss that she loves to share with people.
Another star on our team is Oli, one of the houseman working to ensure our owners and guests are well taken care of at our many Whistler properties. Oli has a great passion for snowboarding and travel, as do most Whistler locals, but his plans are on hold until after his next knee surgery.
HIDDEN GEM: We already know the next stop for Oli after his recovery from surgery: Australia! To meet up with his girlfriend, and ex-Whiski Jack alumni, Sarah.
We’re really grateful to have such a wonderful team! At Whiski Jack, we don’t just have the best people working for us but we also have the best places to stay! Book direct for the best rates this winter!
