We’ve put together a list of the best Whistler winter activities for families off the slopes for your next snowy getaway.
Whistler Olympic Plaza Skating and Snow Zone
Enjoy all-ages fun with outdoor ice skating and tobogganing happening daily at Whistler Olympic Plaza. Activities are free and skate rentals are available for $6. Be sure to visit Whistler Olympic Plaza on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3-6 pm through the winter for Family Après for live music and other fun activities. After a fun time playing in the snow and on the ice, be sure to grab a treat and a hot drink at one of the many cafes and restaurants close to the plaza.
Coca-Cola Tube Park
The Coca-Cola Tube Park is an exhilarating experience! You’ll be screaming for joy as you slide down the track solo or in a group. At the tube park, visitors can enjoy family-friendly music over the sound system, snacks and beverages, washroom facilities and a fire pit for warming up. The tube park is located on Base 2 on Blackcomb Mountain and can be accessed via a free ride up the Excalibur Gondola. There is also free parking in Lot 8 for those wishing to drive to Base 2. Fire and Ice Show
Pyrotechnics and extreme-sports mix at the Fire and Ice Show. Watch in awe as snowboarders and skiers perform breathtaking tricks through a ring of fire. Fire spinners, a live DJ and fireworks take the show to the next level. Catch this free weekly event every Sunday from Skiers’ Plaza at the base of Whistler Mountain. Be sure to dress warm! Whistler Olympic Park
Located in the magical Callaghan Valley, Whistler Olympic Park is a snow lover’s paradise. From snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, tobogganing and more, there is something for everyone. Warm up after a day of fun by the outdoor firepit or inside the cozy Day Lodge with a hot cup of cocoa or a steaming bowl of chilli from the snack bar.
