The average accumulation of snow is 68cm (26.8 inches) for the month of March, sometimes making it the biggest snowfall month of the year! Intermix this with warmer, bluebird days, and March can be the most magical time of year in Whistler.
Whistler’s world-class après scene goes year-round thanks to the magic of outdoor heaters and fire pits. However, March really kicks off the best time for patio season. The warmer temps mean skiing down to the Village after a big day on the mountain, de-layering, and soaking in the sun while you toast to the epic laps. This not only means more sunshine and longer days to play outside, but Whistler Blackcomb changes their operating hours to match! Extending the day until 4 pm gives you even more time to ski and board all over the 8,171 acres of terrain. What’s even better, the mountain is still in full swing during March, with all gondolas open and running until the spring schedule hits on April 18th.
