Local Whistler Artist Spotlight – Andrea Mueller
Whistler is a haven for artists who draw inspiration from the natural beauty of the mountains, flora and fauna of the lush Coast Mountains. Long-time Whistler local and award-winning contemporary artist, Andrea Mueller, is one of our favourite local artists we want to share with you. Not only does Andrea Mueller create some of the most striking, contemporary art inspired by nature, but she’s also an art instructor who you can personally interact with while visiting Whistler. About Andrea Mueller
Andrea Mueller is an award-winning contemporary artist, creative event manager and art instructor. She’s a local favourite and has been voted Whistler’s favourite artist in the Piques annual Best of Whistler for four consecutive years, 2017-2021. Her work can be found in many local shops, restaurants and hotels, as well as up at the Roundhouse on Whistler Mountain. Her work is inspired by the mountains, the ocean, the animals and the forests. She is constantly covered in paint, feeding her soul through travel, exploration and art creation.
Paint Nights
Andrea Mueller’s famed Paint Nights have been a local favourite for years! You don’t have to be an artist to enjoy these nights, and in fact, they’re designed for everyone. ART POP
New to Creekside in December 2022, Andrea Mueller is opening a location designated as ART POP for the next 6 months. In this Creekside retail space, Andrea will also use the space as her art studio. She will be actively painting while you shop the various retail products and peruse the gallery walls featuring Andrea’s diverse art collection. This fun retail space will include works and products from other like-minded sea-to-sky creators. Additionally, there will be art kits available for kids, teens and adults for purchase that customers can either take home or make in the “create zone” during drop-in hours. You can stay up to date with the events & workshop calendar here, which will feature a variety of instructors and host a range of mixed-media opportunities.
